Has Lambo lost its Insanity?

Tractors, painfully slow, used by farmers and, many many years ago made by Lamborghini!

Fortunately, they later went on to produce some of the most iconic cars for example, the Lamborghini Miura and, Lamborghini Countach also, the breathtaking Diablo. All these cars had a soul, a soul of a bull. Posters of these cars were hung up on teenage boys bedrooms; all of those boys had one dream, to own an Insane Lamborghini. Lamborghinis of the past were all about, huge spoilers, impracticality and, outrageous designs. That is what made them so appealing; a Lambo was a playboy’s dream car.

Many years past, then 1998 came along, captain sensible at Audi wanted the fighting bull, and indeed they got it. At this point teenage boys replaced there Lamborghini posters for something much more wild, more importantly, this day changed the fighting bull forever, but the big question is, was the change for the good of the bull?

Audi may have had lots of cash to put into the struggling car maker but, would that cash return Lamborghini back to its farming days. Recent Lambo rides have shown no craziness i.e. the Gallardo. So, maybe Lambo has lost its mojo, although I wouldn’t count on that just yet.

You see, many Lamborghini owners are very enthusiastic about there bulls, so as soon as the Gallardo was released they thought, err, fast car, very quick, but where’s the soul. At that point many Lamborghini owners got onto Lambo and said, put a soul back into my bull. Do you really think Audi would listen? Well, they must have done because, they started showcasing cars like the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV, I know what you’re thinking what a long stupid name but, that proves Lambo has got there Stupidity back, one more car that Lamborghini have produced, the Lamborghini Reventon. Now you look at the Reventon. You can’t tell me the devil wouldn’t drive that!

Has Lambo lost its Insanity? Nope, they may have fallen over a bit with the Gallardo era but now, they are back on track.

One more thing, I’m definitely putting a poster of a Lamborghini back onto my wall!

  1. love the diverse focus of your blog. I like reading blogs like this (more diversity wouldn’t hurt) but certainly I like this.

  2. good points, but honestly I stilll feel that anybody owning Lamborghini is a bad idea.

Especially Audi. The Italians know how to make a supercar, they’ve had plenty of practice. And becuse of this their creations are always beautiful, fast, and hideously expeinsive. To use the playground analogy. All the supercar makers are schoolchildren. Porsche is the one playing pokemon, Audi is the one studying in the library. And Lambo? Well, they’re the ones playing football in the dirt, showcasing underarm hair at a young age.

My point being that Lambo’s are supposed to be outrageous, ostentatious, and uncompromised. By having someone like Audi owning them, it just seems like the big bosses are trying to put a stop to Lambo’s fun. Even though the SV and the Reventon are great cars. I just wonder how good they could have been if Lambo were left to their own devices

    • Yeah, if Lambo where left to themselves they would of shown the world a thing or two about supercars, that’s for sure.

But, that is the way the Lambo story goes so, we will have to put up with the same question every time a new Lambo comes out. What would the Lambo look like if they were not owned by another manufacturer ?

Until that question is answered, I can live with the Lamborghini Reventon!
